           Version: unstable
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: HVM
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: yongkang.you@xxxxxxxxx

Environment:
------------
Service OS (ia32/ia32e/IA64): ia32pae
Guest OS (ia32/ia32e/IA64): ia32pae
Change Set: 15967
Hardware: paxville

Bug detailed description:
--------------------------
when booting a 2.6.23 kernel, the booting progress will stop at a specific
point in the guest if we
set acpi=1 in the configure file.
set acpi=0 will not meet this issue

Reproduce steps:
----------------
1.prepare the image with 2.6.23 kernel
2.prepare a configure file , set "acpi=1"
3.boot the guest
