With xen 3.0.1 I was able to cd into the linux*-xen0 directory and execute
make ARCH=xen oldconfig

With xen 3.0.2 I get the follow error:

Makefile:439: /root/xen/linux-2.6.16-xen0/arch/xen/Makefile: No such file or
directory
make: *** No rule to make target
`/root/xen/linux-2.6.16-xen0/arch/xen/Makefile'.  Stop.


I am not the only one having this problem:
