I appreciate that ultimately, you're the ones likely to be fixing the code, and
hence if you deem it to be a minor problem, there's little I can do about that.
However, from

Since I currently am unable to start xend, I'd say that's a major loss of
function. If you have an easy workaround, then please tell me so I can get
on with bringing up some virtual servers and getting some work done.
